Homemade Honey and Mustard Chicken

This recipe is so much better when homemade! It’s quick and easy allowing you to leave it in the oven to cook whilst you get on with other things. It can be served with salad, potatoes, rice, whatever you would like!

Homemade Honey and Mustard Chicken

  • 8 Bone in, Skin on Chicken Thighs
  • Chicken Rub
  • 1tbsp Mustard Powder
  • 1tbsp Brown Sugar
  • 1tbsp O Oil
  • 1tbsp Whole Grain Mustard
  • Season Well
  • Honey and Mustard Sauce
  • 3tbsp Dijon Mustard
  • 3tbsp Whole Grain Mustard
  • 3tbsp Honey or Agave
  • 3tbsp Chicken Stock
  • 3 sprigs Rosemary
  • 1tbsp O Oil


  1. Heat oven 220℃
  2. Blitz ingredients for Chicken Rub, make slashes in the chicken thighs and thoroughly rub the blend into the thighs. Leave to rest for at least 30mins.
  3. Blitz the Honey and Mustard Sauce ingredients
  4. Place chicken thighs in an oven proof dish and pour over the honey and mustard sauce
  5. Rub the sauce thoroughly into the chicken thighs
  6. Whack chicken thighs in the oven uncovered for 20mins or until cooked (if the the chicken needs longer and the tops look like they are burning, then cover the chicken with tin foil)
  7. Take out and cover, leaving to rest for 5-10mins.

Serve this warm sweet dish with a lovely Green Bean Salad on the side!
