Vietnamese Pork

A lot of people aren’t sure about pork mince but this is a great healthy and delicious recipe. So easy to make and great served with some rice and salad!

A lot of people aren’t sure about pork mince but this is a great healthy and delicious recipe. So easy to make and great served with some rice and salad!

Ingredients

    Pork Balls
  • 500g Pork Mince
  • 2 Lemongrass
  • 1 Red Chilli
  • 1 Small Bunch Coriander stalk and all
  • 2tsp Fish Sauce
  • 1tsp Teriyaki Sauce
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 2tbsp Coconut or Olive Oil
  • Glaze

  • 2tbsp Honey
  • 1tbsp Soy
  • 1 Lime juiced
  • 2tsp Fish Sauce
  • 2tsp Sesame Seeds
  • 3 Spring Onions (optional)

Directions

  1. Heat oven 180℃
  2. Combine all ingredients for the Pork Balls except for the oil and blitz in a Magimix
  3. Roll Pork Balls into the shape of a meatball
  4. Heat a griddle pan over high heat and fry the Pork Balls in the oil turning occasionally for around 8mins
  5. Combine all ingredients for the glaze and brush it onto the Pork Balls as they cook (if you aren’t sure whether or not they are cooked all the way through, toss them in the glaze and whack them in the oven 180℃ for a couple of mins, internal temp for pork balls 75℃)
  6. Serve with an extra sprinkle of toasted Sesame seeds and sliced spring onions (optional)
